Starcraft II Fall Brawl LAN party
Where: Pacific Ballroom C&D in the Student Center at UCI
When: October 7, 2011. The StarCraft II Tournament will start at 5 pm and end at 11 pm.
This event is free for all students to attend. There is no fee for participating in the StarCraft II tournament. There will be consoles (PS3/360/Wii) for people not interested in SC2. You need to bring your own computer in order to compete. You do not need to be a UCI student to compete.
We have Diablo 3 beta keys for giveaway as well as autographed copies of SC2 from the developers.
RULES:
5:00pm: Begin IEEE LAN Party SC2 check-in
5:00pm-5:20pm: Cut-off for SC2 check-n
5:20pm-5:30pm: Generate brackets according to # of players (Joseph explain rules during that time)
5:30pm-5:40pm: Begin tournament (for Master’s/Diamond bracket, plat/below bracket)
Check-in:
- Name, game ID, char code, league, amount of ladder points/division rank

- Race Changing:
- Race can only be changed between rounds, not games

Less than 16 players (unlikely)
- Double elimination
- Best of 3 (Winner’s bracket); best of 1 (Loser’s bracket)
Master’s/Diamond League
- If 16-31 players:
- Double elimination
- Seeded (round of 16)
- Players w/ lowest ladder points may play extra game (if uneven # players, ex: 18 players)
- Best of 3 (Winner’s bracket); best of 1 (Loser’s bracket)
- Single elimination
- Seeded (round of 32)
- Best of 3
